ANIMATED SERIES “It is so UNFAIR!”
FOR PEACE EDUCATION OF CHILDREN AND THE OTHERS |
|
.... SO, THE ANIMATED SERIES APPEARED....
In the year of 2002, ”Hajde da...” Group has
created a set of workshops for peace education of primary
school children, called “The Alphabet of Tolerance”.
The main aim of this program is acquiring knowledge and experience
of tolerance to difference, as well as supporting the spirit
of cooperation and respect among the classroom mates. Since
the beginning, over 2000 children have been participating
this Program and more than 200 teachers have been educated
to facilitate the workshops. The Program got the credential
of Ministry of Education and Sports of Republic of Serbia.
After hundreds of hours spent with children and their teachers,
we still think that we can do even more to make the school
a more beautiful place, let the children watch an interesting
cartoon at their homes, on the TV, of whose points their parents
wouldn’t have to be worried about, and our colleagues
to have an inspiring tool to work with their pupils in schools...
And, for couple of more reasons...
So, that’s why the animated series “It’s
so unfair!” appeared!
more about it...

| TRAINING COURSE IN COMMUNICATION
SKILLS |
october 2004.
... meant for everyone who wants to improve their communication
in both personal and professional life. AIM
This experience can help us to: • better understand our
emotions, especially anger and pain and their mutual connections;
• perceive needs that form a base of various feelings (that
can ensure us more fruitful life, personal development...);
• better understand needs of other people, that are the
base of their emotions (which can help us to make our relationships
with those people more creative and with a better rapport);
• use this knowledge to establish that kind of communication
with the others that brings us closer to each other...
In this way, communication becomes space of understanding instead
of conflicts.
Moreover, if it still comes to the conflict, we can decrease
its negative consequences and search for creative solutions.
Knowledge and skills gained on this training course are applicable
both in everyday life and business communication and they are
especially important for professional development of those who
work with people.
WORKING METHOD used on the training course is workshop,
based on principles of experiential learning and active participation.
Training course is facilitated by trainers from “Hajde da…”
Group.
All of the participants who complete the training course successfully
get the certificate issued by “Hajde da…” Group, certifying
that they’ve been participating the Training Course in Communication
Skills. |

| Youth project “Because
it counts!” |
Group is another contribution to process of youth
policy development in Serbia. Our intention was to gather
useful inputs and we decided to do it by means of action research,
this time. It was conducted during workshops of Personal empowerment
program with 3 groups of young people.
What issues worry/inspire young people in Serbia today? What
expectations youth has from policy makers on local and national
level? What ideas young people can offer?
First phase of this one-year project was three-month educational
program of personal empowerment. It was realized with three
groups of young people from 3 Serbian towns.
Since multicultural social setting is our reality and for the
reason of cultural rights and intercultural processes being
synchronized by youth policy, we deliberately pick three towns
with distinctive multiethnic features – Subotica,
Pancevo and Nova Varoš.
Program of personal empowerment
is based on contemporary methodological principles of good non-formal
education for youth. It includes voluntary participation, use
of participatory methods, fostering of cooperation within group,
learning from personal experience and learner-centeredness.
Non-formal education mustn’t be regarded as an opposition
to official school system, but as quality supplement of formal
education, the one that achieves long lasting results with fewer
resources because it is flexible, practical and always in touch
with ‘real life’.
We also, from the beginning of March 2003, start a media
campaign in order to raise sensitivity of majority population
for youth problems and to help active participation of citizens
in search for solutions that should improve life of young people
in Serbia.
Furthermore this campaign will be aimed to support National
Youth Policy and Strategy development in Serbia and also
the process of building of institutions that will adequately
represent young people. Campaign will be presented on local
levels of three municipalities as well as on the national level.
