As an integral part of “Alphabet of Tolerance
- Education and Implementation” Project we carried out campaign
“We learn this at school,
too” during May 2003. This campaign was conceived as
an analogous program, regarding both topics and timing of the
basic project.
It was aimed to be
supportive for those teachers who already had decided to enrich
their professional role with alternative work methods and also
for those who believe that school is not only lace where children
obtain knowledge, but positive values, as well.
Our initiative was result of aspiration to point out that school
is exceptionally important place of socialization of children,
place where children are finding out things about them selves
and others… about cooperation, about violence, about discrimination,
about anti discrimination… place where teachers are presenting
certain values to children. That’s why we decided that children
should be primary target group and all those engaged in work
with them (teachers, pedagogues, librarians, principals, etc)
should be secondary target group. |

| DAY AGAINST DISCRIMINATION |
this manifestation has been organized
in “Djordje Krstic” Primary School. It was children’s
response to negative social phenomena (such as violence, discrimination,
prejudices) after three months of participation in peace education
program “Alphabet of Tolerance – Education and Implementation”.
What was going on:
• a bit of speech and a bit of chit-chat, as well
• local children’s action produced posters, photographs,
“take-away statements”…
• plays, performances dealing with subject of violence
• cooperation games for big and small (4 points with
various games; each group of children visited all points)
• promotion of ‚‚DOWN WITH DISCRIMINATION
!!!’’ publication containing original children’s
thoughts about prejudices, tolerance, cooperation, violence,
etc.
• Stand of NGO ’’Hajde da…’’
Group – posters, caps, badges, stickers...

a publication of statements was published and it was entitled

| ANIMATED SERIES "IT’S
SO UNFAIR!" |
Animated series is meant for children
and young people, aged 10
to 15, and so far is consisted of 6
episodes (the sixth one is a promotional one).
The cartoons follow the group of buddies, who stumble upon various
“problems” in thier school (prejudices, discrimination,
violence) and try to react upon them constructivly – through
cooperation and tolerance.
Each episode lasts approximately 10 minutes. Starting form January
of 2005, this Animated Series is a part of school libraries
all over Serbia.
