ENDING UP OF SET
OF TRAININGS WITHIN PROJECT «NON-FORMAL EDUCATION
IN EUROPE»
december
2005.
By the end of November, there have been ended up the last
two of 10 trainings«Non-formal Education in Europe
– a Step Toward Recognition in Serbia and Montenegro»,
organized and realized by «Hajde da...» Group, during past
two months, throughout Serbia and Montenegro. We've been talking
about position of non-formal education in our country, current
trends in this field in Europe, as well as about steps to
take towards better recognition and validation of non-formal
education in Belgrade,
Subotica, Novi Sad, Kragujevac, Uzice, Nis and Podgorica.
Also people from other towns (Zrenjanin, Guca, Backa Topola,
Đurdin, Novi Kneževac...) have participated in almost every
training; news about this project and the trainings has been
put on several web sites; there have been published the three
articles in «Prosvetni pregled» newspaper, so we are sure
that the number of those who have been reached by the idea
of necessity of recognition of non-formal education in Serbia
and Montenegro is quite larger than the official data we have.
According to our data-base, there have been over
160 persons who took part in trainings in the 7 towns.
Our main target groups were representatives of governmental
bodies (Ministry of Education and Sports and Ministy of Labour,
Employement and Social Policy), National Employement Service,
formal-educational institutions, media, NGOs, scientific institutes,
institutions for adult education, but everyone who sees the
importance of non-formal education and is willing to work
on its promotion was wellcomed, so we also had representatives
of the Red Cross, Scouts Organizastion, business sector etc.
We will continue our work
on the promotion of non-formal education. Some of our very
next steps in that direction are organizing the Dialogue Day,
in cooperation with Forum Syd Balkans, and publishing the
set of reccomendations for recognition of non-formal education,
came as outputs from the realized trainings.

UPDATES and UPCOMING ACTIVITIES
ToT (training of trainers)
has been held in Belgrade from the 9th to the 12th of July
in the premises of Hajde da…(see attached pictures). During
that occasion four experienced and internationally recognized
trainers in the field of non-formal education adopted non-formal
training methods to explore together with the participants
the non-formal education training module to be multiplied
in the above mentioned 7 cities in Serbia and Montenegro.
By the end of July, a leaflet
containing basic info on non-formal education in Evrope and
in Serbia and Montenegro is going to be published.
An expensive publication
with 11 articles by international and national experts in
the field addressing all the most important questions (such
as validation and recognition of NFE) is going to be published
and disseminated by the end of August.
The multiplication of the
module in Serbia and Montenegro should occur from September
10th to November 31st. At present, a schedule and a timetable
of trainings is being organized according to the peculiar
needs of each city, of the project and to the availability
of the trainers-multiplyers. In order to promote publicly
the multiplication of the module, a
press conference will be held in Belgrade during the
first week of September.
During January-February 2006, a set
of recommendation on future steps sprouting from the
multiplication of the module shall be finalized and publicized
to further raise the awareness of all the relevant stakeholders
and governmental bodies on the importance of the validation
and recognition of NFE in Serbia and Montenegro.
