| YOUTH EDUCATION FOR HUMAN RIGHTS |
WHAT?
- training course for those who work in schools and activists
of youth NGOs – “Youth Education for Human Rights”
- one of the trainings on a national level, treating human rights,
within Council of Europe Youth Education Program on Human Rights.
- there was also developed the “Compass” – manual for youth
work. This manual is meant both for working in schools and education
on human rights that has place in the field of non-formal education,
realized by youth NGOs.
- contents of the “Compass” Manual, methodological principles
it is based on, as well as concrete materials will be the base
of our training course, and usage of “Compass” in our schools
and non-formal educational activities is one of the main goals
of this training.
AIM
- human rights education (HRE) includes various educational
programs and activities aimed to promote core equalities, based
on human dignity as an irreplaceable value of contemporary Europe.
WHO’S INVITED?
- we invite all those who work in the field of (non-) formal
youth education, to get to know better the evolution, practice
and challenges of human rights, as well as meaning of human
rights for young people nowadays.
WHERE AND WHEN?
- in Belgrade, July 17th – 25th, 2005, in British Council premises.
