There is a need for empowerment of young people.

The latest research done in Serbia show that young people do feel a need for social activism, although they don’t have clear vision of possibilities and most of them are not attracted to political parties while other forms of social activism are unfamiliar to them. They feel “powerless” to influence life in their environment.

In order to response to current situation “Let’s…” Group trainers have created a programs that provide opportunity to young people to talk about themselves, their values and explore their affiliations in the context of active participation in the society and their local community. Such personal empowerment and support process brings in an important “shift from problems to vision” will help those young people to reconsider their social roles and take the social responsibility, thus becoming real active citizens.
